SLINGSHOT
If you can follow a simple blue candle, you can trade the dip that snaps back. Slingshot waits for a calm stock to pull back until it reads oversold, the yellow candles, then calls the first close back over the last candle's high, the blue one, with the target and the safety net already on it.
Let me open with a question.
What if buying the dip came down to one colour?
No more guessing where the pullback ends. No more buying the first red candle and watching it keep falling. No more waiting so long that the bounce is over before you're in.
What if you just waited for a candle to light up blue, and the target was already on your chart?
Dips like these, every one of them dated:
- AUG 20 · COST Slingshot Buy at $933.23 (30-minute) — target hit at $975.23, the stock +4.5% in 55 days
- SEP 29 · AAPL Slingshot Buy at $331.57 (30-minute) — target hit at $344.83, the stock +4.0% in 14 days
- OCT 28 · NKE Slingshot Buy at $37.17 (30-minute) — target hit at $38.29, the stock +3.0% in 1 trading hour
Look at those. Small, clean moves that got to the target in hours or days, on stocks you've heard of.
I know that might sound too good to be true. So let me tell you who I am, and then I'll show you one of these, chart by chart.

My name is Ben. I've been part of building trading tools for close to a decade, me and a really great team: TriTrader+, MagniZone, the Morning Power Hour system, OCP, EFC, 5 Candle Master, Green Light Options and others thousands of traders have used.
Our options team has over 20 years of combined experience in the trenches. And of everything we have built for buying a pullback, Slingshot is the simplest to follow: one colour tells you to get ready, another tells you to go.
Here's what you're going to see in this briefing:
- The yellow candles, and why they mean "get ready", not "buy".
- The one blue candle that turns a pullback into a trade.
- Costco on August 20, chart by chart.
- Why only calm charts get called, and what that did to the results.
- The one chart Slingshot calls, and why the rest are only drawn.
- The honest math of a small target and a wide safety net, with the record as it is kept.
- How often it happens: in the last 30 days Slingshot Live called 175 Slingshots on 126 different stocks and ETFs.
Don't take my word for any of it. Let me walk you through one.
The August 20 Slingshot
Costco on the 30-minute chart. Watch the candles turn
Those yellow candles are the warm-up. Costco was pulling back, far enough that its RSI read oversold (at or under 40, this stock's own level).
Most traders are already trying to guess the bottom here. Slingshot hasn't done a thing. It's waiting for one candle to close back over the high of the one before it.
On August 20 it did. The candle lit up
Look at that card. The entry is the close of the blue candle. The target is right there. And the safety net sits well below it, for the day the market has other ideas.
Nothing to draw. Nothing to measure. Nothing to guess.
And then…
Costco pulled back for 5 candles in the yellow, its RSI down to 38 against its level of 40. On August 20 a candle closed back over the one before it at $933.23: the blue candle, and Slingshot Live called the Slingshot Buy. The target sat at $975.23. It got there in 55 days: +4.5% on the stock.
Watch it happen, candle by candle
Every call in Slingshot Live has a Replay. Press play and the chart runs candle by candle: the pullback, the blue candle, the target and the stop, and how it ended. Here are 6 from the last few weeks. Pick one:
Real calls from Slingshot Live, played from their own 30-minute candles.
Why buying the dip hurts most traders
Here's the mistake I see all the time.
A good stock pulls back. It looks cheap. So they buy the first red candle. Then it keeps falling, and they buy more, or they bail out right at the bottom.
Or they wait to be sure, and by the time they're sure the bounce is already over and they're chasing it.
October 27, USO:
Anyone who bought the first yellow candle sat through every one after it. Slingshot didn't buy any of them. USO pulled back for 11 candles in the yellow, its RSI down to 43 against its level of 45. On October 27 a candle closed back over the one before it at $163.95: the blue candle, and Slingshot Live called the Slingshot Buy. The target sat at $168.87. It got there in 3 trading hours: +3.0% on the stock.
The fix isn't guessing the bottom. It's waiting for the turn. The yellow candles tell you to get ready. Only the blue one tells you to go.
The hidden momentum inside a pullback
Here's the insight the whole thing is built on.
A healthy stock does not go straight up. It pulls back, and while it does the momentum readings go oversold. On the chart it looks like weakness.
But on a calm, steady stock that pullback is often the pause before the next leg, not the start of a collapse. That's the hidden momentum. You won't see it with the naked eye, because the candles are red.
Slingshot reads it for you: the dip deep enough to count, and then the first candle that closes back over the one before it, the moment buyers step back in.
Three steps. That is the whole system.
Warm up.
The yellow candles. The stock has pulled back until its RSI reads oversold at its own level. Get ready, but do nothing yet.
Entry.
The blue candle. A candle closes back over the high of the one before it while the stock is still oversold. That close is the entry.
Profit target.
The target line is drawn the moment it fires (about +3% on most stocks), with a safety-net stop well below. One trade per chart at a time, held until one of them is reached.
And if you see a few blue candles close together? That's normal. Slingshot only takes one trade per chart at a time, so the first one is the call and the rest are the same pullback confirming itself.
What it looks for, and what it throws out
Slingshot Live runs Slingshot on the 30-minute chart of every stock and ETF we scan. A blue candle alone is not enough to be called. It has to pass this too:
A calm chart. The stock's usual range per candle (its ATR) has to be small next to its price. In our tests, the calmer the chart, the more often Slingshot reached its target. A wild chart gets drawn on your screen, never called.
Its own settings. Every stock keeps its own oversold level, target and stop. 19 of them (the old hitlist: QQQ, SPY, AAPL, NVDA, IWM, MSFT, LLY, COST and more) have the settings the original Slingshot was tuned on. The rest use the standard ones.
A hitlist name at work. September 29:
Apple pulled back for 4 candles in the yellow, its RSI down to 40 against its level of 40. On September 29 a candle closed back over the one before it at $331.57: the blue candle, and Slingshot Live called the Slingshot Buy. The target sat at $344.83. It got there in 14 days: +4.0% on the stock.
October 28: Nike, a calm chart.
Nike pulled back for 10 candles in the yellow, its RSI down to 41 against its level of 45. On October 28 a candle closed back over the one before it at $37.17: the blue candle, and Slingshot Live called the Slingshot Buy. The target sat at $38.29. It got there in 1 trading hour: +3.0% on the stock.
The 30-minute chart, and only the 30-minute chart
Slingshot Live calls Slingshot on the 30-minute chart, the timeframe it is set up and tested on. Every call on this page came from it.
Put Slingshot on another timeframe and you will still see its yellow and blue candles there. They are drawn for context, never called: we only want the best setups.
The honest math
I'll be straight with you about how this trade is built, because it matters.
Slingshot's target is small and its safety net is wide: about +3% up, and a stop around −10% down on most stocks. That's on purpose. It gives the pullback room to finish without shaking you out.
It also means one stop can cost about what three targets make. So Slingshot has to reach its target most of the time, or it doesn't work. That's exactly why only calm charts are called. And it's why the record below keeps every call, not just the good ones:
average +3.0%
average -10.2%
Green reached the target, red hit the stop. Counted from Slingshot Live's own scorecard when this page loaded.
That's the real record: 322 targets and 102 stops in 90 days. Some get stopped out, and you'll see every one of them inside. One past stretch is not a promise about the next one.
The receipts
More pullbacks. Every one of these is a real Slingshot call, dated, on our own 30-minute charts.

Still not convinced? Good. Here's the last month.
Every Slingshot that reached its target in the last 4 weeks, on the day it was called:
Read the empty days too. Some days nothing is oversold, and some Slingshots hit the safety net: that's what it's there for. In the last 30 days Slingshot Live called 175 Slingshots. The scorecard inside keeps every one.
The newest Slingshot
As I write this, EEM is a live Slingshot Buy from $61.04, called Oct 30. It is one of 76 Slingshots open right now. Members have the target and the stop on the card.

What "no thanks" actually costs
Slingshot reads every pullback whether you're on it or not. In the last 30 days it called 175. When the next blue candle prints, it's either a card on your screen with the target already on it, or a chart you look at a week later, wondering why you didn't buy that dip.
You've lived that second version before.
The questions I'd ask before buying this
What chart does it call?
The 30-minute chart. Other timeframes are drawn on your charts for context, never called.
Are there short signals?
No. Slingshot only buys: the pullback in a stock and the turn back up.
How long do trades last?
Until the target or the stop, whichever comes first. Many reach the target within a few trading hours to a few days; some take longer.
Does it repaint?
No. A Slingshot is called on a closed candle, and every call is kept exactly as it was made.
Can I trade options with it?
Yes. The calls are on the stock, with its target and stop; the Slingshot Options Guide inside shows you how to pick a call option for a signal if you prefer options.
Do I need TradingView?
No. Slingshot Live runs in your members area, nothing to install. The TradingView indicator is included too, and works on the free TradingView plan.
And the calls that don't work?
Some hit the stop, and a stop costs more than a target makes. The record on this page keeps every one, wins and losses; the stories show the best ones.
I already own Slingshot. Do I need this?
No. It is already in your members area. This page is for traders who do not have it yet.
Is this a subscription?
No. $497 once, lifetime access. No monthly or yearly charges.
What if it's not for me?
Use Slingshot for 14 days. If it is not for you, ask through Support in your dashboard and you get every penny back. No questions asked.
Two versions of the next pullback
Somewhere this week a calm, steady stock will pull back. Its candles will turn yellow. Then one will close back over the last one's high.
In one version, you bought the first red candle and you're sitting through the rest of the drop. Or you find the bounce a week later, scrolling, with that familiar feeling of "it was right there."
In the other version, you waited through the yellow, and the blue candle was a card on your screen: the entry, the target, the safety net.
Slingshot reads the next pullback either way. The only question is whether you're reading it with me.
P.S. Your login works within a couple of minutes of ordering, and the next Slingshot comes with the next blue candle.
P.P.S. It is one payment, for life. No renewals.
P.P.P.S. 14 days, no questions asked. If Slingshot isn't for you, ask through Support in your dashboard.
