EFC 3.0

The reversal engine. Stop catching falling knives: EFC waits for the sell-off to exhaust itself, then catches the snap back with an order that only fills if price turns.

Let me open with a question.

"Ben, I bought the dip because the indicator said it was oversold, but the market just kept tanking!"

I've heard that more times than I can count. The textbooks say buy when RSI is oversold. Then the stock keeps falling, the stop gets hit, and right after, it turns.

What if you only bought once the selling had actually run out of force, and only if price proved it by coming back up?

Calls like these, every one of them dated:

Real calls on stocks you've heard of, each with its entry, its target and its stop before it moved.

I know that might sound too good to be true. So let me tell you who I am, and then I'll show you one of these, chart by chart.

Ben Losier

My name is Ben. I've been part of building trading tools for close to a decade, me and a really great team: TriTrader+, MagniZone, the Morning Power Hour system, OCP, EFC, 5 Candle Master, Green Light Options and others thousands of traders have used.

Our options team has over 20 years of combined experience in the trenches.

EFC was one of our most popular indicators for a long, long time, and EFC 3.0 is the engine rebuilt from the studs. Today it runs on our own charts too, and every call on this page is a real one.

Here's what you're going to see in this briefing:

Don't take my word for any of it. Let me walk you through one.

The August 21 EFC call

NET on the 1-hour chart, up to the candle it fired on:

The candles turn orange when RSI is oversold. Then a lower low comes with a higher RSI: sellers pushing with less and less force. That candle turns blue, and a buy stop waits above, where the trade starts only if price comes back up.

On August 21 it fired, and this is what EFC Live showed:

The RSI trap

Here's the trap most traders walk into.

Oversold measures speed, not structure. A stock can stay oversold all the way down. Buy the first oversold reading and you are catching a falling knife.

Then the stop gets hit at the low, and the stock turns without you.

The fix: wait for exhaustion, not speed. And let price prove the turn before you are in.

August 31, RKLB: the EFC Buy.

Exhaustion, then proof

Here's the insight EFC is built on.

When a stock makes a lower low but its RSI makes a higher one, the selling is losing force. That's a divergence, and deep in oversold it's the sound of a sell-off running out of sellers.

EFC still doesn't buy it. It places a buy stop above, and only if price comes back up through it does the trade start. A stock that keeps falling never fills.

How EFC catches the reversal

EFC · IN ITS OWN WORDS, AS MEMBERS READ IT
1

EFC watches RSI(14). Under 30 a stock is oversold and its candles turn orange, as on TradingView.

2

The setup is a bullish divergence deep in oversold: this close is lower than one of the last 10, but its RSI is higher, with both under 30. Sellers are pushing price down with less and less force. That candle turns blue.

3

The setup places a buy stop at the high of the candle where RSI crossed 30. The trade starts only when price comes back up through it, so a stock that keeps falling never fills. If RSI climbs back over 50 first, the order is cancelled.

4

Filled, the candles turn neon cyan and glow while the trade is open (a sell the system draws but does not call glows magenta). You can pick your own colours on Find Better Charts: Systems, then 🎨. The stop is the lowest low of the 10 candles before the fill, less 9 ATRs: a wide stop that gives the bounce room. Both it and the target move a little each candle with the ATR, exactly as the script draws them.

5

The target is the script's: half the risk above the entry on the daily and 4-hour charts. On the 1-hour it is 1:1 (the risk above the entry): we tested both on about 250 stocks, and on the 1-hour 1:1 made about twice as much a trade on the months held back, while on the daily and 4-hour the two made the same and half the risk got there in half the time.

6

So EFC wins most of its trades: on the daily about 4 in 5 reached the target over ten years. When it loses, it loses more than a win pays. That is the script's design.

7

Why the buys on the daily, 4-hour and 1-hour: we tested EFC on ten years of daily charts and two years of 1-hour and 4-hour charts across the stocks we scan, holding the most recent 30% back to check it. The buys made money on every chart in both stretches (daily +0.20R then +0.24R a trade, 4-hour +0.19R then +0.17R, 1-hour at 1:1 +0.19R then +0.10R). The sells lost, so they are drawn, never called.

8

A call can take a while: half the daily trades took about three months, the 4-hour about six weeks and the 1-hour three to four weeks.

9

Getting close lists the buy stops waiting right now: the setup has fired and price has not come back up to the order yet. Place the same buy stop and you are filled with the script.

What every call passes:

The daily, 4-hour and 1-hour charts, buys only

EFC Live calls the buys on the daily, 4-hour and 1-hour charts: what held up when we tested it on years of real candles, with the most recent stretch held back to check it. Every call on this page came from them.

The sells are drawn on the chart too, for context. They are never called: we only want the best setups.

The record, as it is kept

I'll be straight with you: not every call works. Some hit the stop. That's what the stop is for, and it's why the scorecard inside keeps every call, not just the good ones:

THE LAST 90 DAYS · EVERY FINISHED EFC CALL
89reached the full target
average +11%
99hit the stop
average -9.6%

Green reached the full target, red hit the stop. Counted from the scorecard when this page loaded.

That's the real record of the last 90 days: 89 closed in profit and 99 hit the stop. One past stretch is not a promise about the next one.

The newest EFC call

As I write this, SLV, the silver ETF is a live call from $48.85, made Oct 28. It is one of 190 EFC calls still open. Members have the target and the stop on the card.

Why this beats buying the dip

You stop catching knives. Oversold is a warning, not a buy.

Price has to prove it. The buy stop only fills if the stock turns back up.

Most trades are small wins. The target is half the risk away, and that is by design: many small wins, fewer, bigger losses.

Only the calls that held up. The buys on the daily, 4-hour and 1-hour; the sells are drawn for context.

You can check every call. The record counts every one, wins and losses.

What "no thanks" actually costs

EFC reads the market whether you're on it or not. In the last 30 days it called 164. When the next one fires, it's either a card on your screen with the target already on it, or a chart you look at a week later, wondering how you missed it.

The questions I'd ask before buying this

What chart does it call?

The daily, 4-hour and 1-hour charts.

Are there short signals?

Not as calls. EFC calls the buys; the sells are drawn on the chart for context, because they did not hold up in testing.

How long do trades last?

Until the target or the stop, whichever comes first. Some finish in a day or two, some take a few weeks.

Does it repaint?

No. A call is made on a closed candle, and EFC Live keeps every call on its scorecard exactly as it was made.

What markets does it work on?

The EFC 3.0 indicator works on any chart on TradingView. The calls on our own charts cover the stocks and ETFs we scan and test every day.

Why is the target so close and the stop so wide?

That's the script's design: a target half the risk away and a stop that gives the bounce room. In two years of 1-hour charts about 3 in 4 reached the target; a loss costs about twice what a win pays. We tested it on ten years of daily charts too, and the buys held up on every chart.

How long does a trade take?

It can take a while: half the daily trades took about three months, the 4-hour about six weeks and the 1-hour about twelve days.

And the calls that don't work?

Some hit the stop. Every call stays on the scorecard inside, wins and losses. This page shows the best ones; inside, you see all of them.

I already own EFC 3.0. Do I need this?

No. It is already in your members area. This page is for traders who do not have it yet.

Is this a subscription?

No. $997 once, lifetime access. No monthly or yearly charges.

What if it's not for me?

Use EFC 3.0 for 14 days. If it is not for you, ask through Support in your dashboard and you get every penny back. No questions asked.

Two versions of the next sell-off

Somewhere this week a good stock will sell off hard, deep into oversold.

In one version, you buy the first oversold reading, and ride it down to your stop.

In the other version, you waited for the selling to run out, and your order only filled when price turned back up.

EFC reads the next sell-off either way. The only question is whether you wait for the turn.
